need to perform the following steps to register:

  1. Go to the Hokie Portal web site.
  2. Log in using your Virginia Tech PID and Password.
When you are logged in, select the "Academics and Training" tab at the top of the screen.
  3. Under "Computer Software Training" select the Element K link.
  4. Follow the steps to complete the registration process. You will then be taken to the Element K web site.

You'll only need to complete this registration process once. Once you are registered, in the future you may access Element K either through the Hokie Portal or by going directly to the Element K web site. Once at the Element K site, log in using the boxes at the top right of the screen. Your Username will be "VT_yourPID" (replace "yourPID" with your Tech PID), and your password will be the same as your Tech password. This will log you into the site and take you to your personalized page. You can then browse the course listings to see what is available. There's quite a few of them!
