You can add a
PowerPoint sound effect to indicate various slideshow events:

to a new bulleted item. |
 | Entry or exit of pictures or other on-screen

For practice, let's create a
new slide to add the sound effect to
Click "Insert"
Click "New Slide..."

Click a layout for the slide.
Choose one with bulleted items.
Click "Ok" |

Your New slide appears. Go ahead and
title the slide as before. Add a few bulleted items as before.

Now, right-click the first
item in the list.
Click the "Custom animation" icon. |

From the effects menu you can
select an entry animation for the bulleted item and an associated sound
effect. Also, you can decide if you want the entire bullet to appear
at once, by letters, or by words. When you have made all selections
you can click "Ok".

To preview your slide you can
click the slideshow icon.

"Esc" key to return to editing the slide show. |

Note: Don't go overboard with animation and sound effects! Consider the
type of audience that you will present to when choosing sound effects and
screen animations.
